Hello & Welcome to Savvy Homemaker 2U

Greetings from Ruzie

Hello & welcome to Savvy Homemaker 2U. My name is Ruziha Osman a.k.a Ruzie and I am proud to say I am a homemaker all the way from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where the sun shines through out the year… Here is a place where I am trying not to be the day-to-day homemaker. Not that I hate being the day-to-day homemaker, mind you. I love building my love nest for my family. However, being a homemaker is not the highest paid position, if not at all… In the world that we’re living now, that is not a fantastic thing… Unless of course, if you’re a professional homemaker like Martha Stewart or if you’re married to a millionaire… But then again, even Martha has started from scratch…. and as for marrying a millionaire, I married a millionaire-to-be. So, we’re not there yet… :-D

Before a Fulltime Homemaker

I was not always a fulltime homemaker. I was working in the accounting line for more than a decade before I decided to devote my time for my then young family and become a fulltime homemaker. Thus becoming a homemaker was quite a task for me and it took a lot of adjustments in life….

Whilst I was working in the corporate world, I have missed most of the growing part of my eldest child’s life. Only a parent would understand how heartbreaking that could be. After I had my second child, I tried to build up multi-level marketing business, one after another, hoping it will work eventually and that I will get to leave my 9 to 5 job. Well, it’s more like 9am to 10pm job actually, especially during month end when we were closing accounts… But that never seems to materialize due to all sorts of reasons and rather than boring you with the details here, I’ll save it for some other time….

Then The Fulltime Homemaker

After I had my third child, both my husband and I decided that we can get by with his earnings alone and subsequently I left my career for good. Even though at that time I was holding a good post, I never regretted the day I made that decision. I am so happy being able to take care of my own family, day in, day out. Even when it means no more lavish spending during pay-day, because there is no more pay-day for me. What’s left may be for the basics and necessities but we are blessed with a happy life. Even though we can’t have all that we want, we have all that we need. We are very thankful that we get by fine and we are free from heavy debts, thanks to prudent financial measures.

However, life is not only about us. There are other close members in the family that we care for very much too; parents, siblings and their family and other relatives. Then there are friends, neighbours, colleagues, acquaintances and future friends. It would be incredibly nice if we could share more of what we have with more people in our life… And to share more, we must have more…

Life is not all about money but almost everything needs money. Wouldn’t it be great if you could help just about anyone in need that we come across? Wouldn’t it be great if we could ease their burden instead of just sympathising? Wouldn’t it be great if somebody fall sick, we could sort the best treatment available without wasting time thinking about the costs? Wouldn’t it be great if we could make a difference, instead of just wishing for it? Now, wouldn’t that be wonderful?

Savvy Homemaker yet?

So I figure rather than just making wishful thinking, I’d better look for ways to do generate income from home. Many have started to work or build a business from home successfully. So, why not me? In my search to work from home, I discovered these online businesses being advertised on local newspapers. I am not computer-savvy nor am I an internet-savvy person. So when there were free seminars offering to teach from scratch on how to do online business with zero capital and zero knowledge, I was so excited! However, my excitement didn’t last long… At the end of each seminar, they would ask for no less than a thousand US dollars to get the online business started for me. And every time, no matter how persuasive they were and how tempted I was, I had to decline because if I had that much extra money to spend in the first place, I wouldn’t be there….

However, all was not lost. From there I learnt the many possibilities of making money online. I just have to learn how and get the right one for me…. Or better still, the one available for me…

I know I am not the only one with this predicament. We have heard this same old story time and time again… It is just a matter of what we decide to do about it… And I have decided to work from home and make money online, right here, right now…. I shall humbly share here my Shopping to Make Money to begin my journey as the SAVVY HOMEMAKER and of course, no homemaker will be completely content without her Shopping…. ;-)

Wish me luck!
